With its two chipboard manufacturing sites located at Hexham and Auchinleck, EGGER UK annually produces enough wood-based products to fill 27,500 lorry trailers. These products are supplied to businesses across the UK, who operate in the furniture, interior design, and building markets.

Our managing director Judith Ward and Technical Sales Advisor Jordan Hodgson spent the day at EGGER that began with a corporate presentation of the history and development of EGGER from the start of the company to today showing how they operate and reinvest into development and global expansion.

This presentation was a major part of the trip for our team as it allowed us to see EGGER's latest decorative collection including their latest finishes due to be released at the start of 2020.

After this trip, we feel we will be able to guide our clients in a more informative way regarding finishes available and our customers will also have the benefit of being some of the first businesses in the UK to see these new products and even have the opportunity to purchase them before their main launch in 2020.

Later on, in the afternoon, we had the pleasure of receiving a factory tour where we got to see how they manufacture the MFC from start to finish. As the tour progressed, we were blown away by the whole production process and how environmentally aware they were as a company. More than 40% of its products being manufactured using recycled MFC and timber and also buying all their timber from the adjacent Forest Kielder that is owned and managed by the forestry commision.
